My confidence, my hope, my stay, the word of God is true in every line, in every jot, in every story too.

Through years of constant struggle, ages of those who feared that words of love and promise should  not now, nor ever be, heard.

So those great Kings and Princes set out to burn and destroy God's precious word of promise, our hope, our greatest joy.

But to defy the Father, who always does things well, is an exercise in futility, and the surest road to hell.

So here we have our Bible, God's great and Holy Word, a light to those in darkness, the Way to those who heard.

Some still doubt the truth, of text and language sure, yet I will keep on trusting God's Word will stand secure.
